How do I connect my Apple TV to Wi-Fi?
  • Go to Settings → Network → Wi-Fi.
  • Choose the name of a compatible Wi-Fi network to join.
    • If asked, enter your Wi-Fi password.
How do I install my Apple TV 4K?



Plug your Apple TV 4K into a power source and connect it to your TV using an HDMI cable. To watch 4K HDR movies on an Apple 4K TV, make sure you're using an HDMI 2.0 or newer cable and that your TV supports 4K, HDR, or both. Turn on your TV and select the HDMI input to which your Apple TV is connected.

You can also connect your Apple TV to your router using an Ethernet cable during the configuration process.

Remote control

How do I adjust the Touch surface sensitivity of the Apple TV remote?



The responsiveness of the Touch surface can be configured the same way as a Mac laptop trackpad.

  • In the "Settings" of the Apple TV, under "Remotes and Devices", go to the "Touch Surface Tracking" section.
  • You can select "Fast", "Medium" or "Slow" here.

How do I charge the Apple Remote?
  • Connect one end of a Lightning cable to the Lightning port on the bottom of the Siri Remote.

  • Connect the other end of the cable to a computer USB port or to an USB power adapter.

The Siri Remote takes about three hours to fully charge.

How do I pair my Salt TV infrared remote with my TV?



Your remote is pre-configured for your Apple TV.
If you own a Samsung TV, it should already work with your remote.
Otherwise, please follow these steps:

Make sure you have the latest version of the Salt TV application (you can download it from the App Store or Google Play). The remote control only works with version 2.1946.1 or higher of the Salt TV app.

  1. First remove the protective plastic cover from the batteries of the remote control.
  2. Your remote control should already work if you have a Samsung TV; if not, follow the instructions below.
  3. Press and hold the Menu and OK button simultaneously until the red LED above the Menu button lights up.
  4. Now point the remote control at your TV and press the P^ button until the volume menu appears on your TV screen.
  5. Check that the VOL+ and VOL- buttons work so that you can adjust the volume of your TV. If this is the case, press the OK button and the setup is complete.

Can I purchase an additional Apple TV 4K?

Yes, you can order an additional Apple TV 4K via our online form.

Please note that an additional Apple TV, or a later addition to your Salt Home subscription, will be charged at CHF 149.95 per Apple TV 4K.

Do I need an Apple account to set up the Apple TV 4K?

An Apple ID is not required to access the app (if you are properly connected to your Fiber Box).

However, it is required to download other applications on your Apple TV 4K. To create an Apple account, go to this page.

Where can I watch Salt TV?

There are several possibilities to watch Salt TV:

  • On the Apple TV, via the app
  • On mobile devices, via the app available in the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Play Store (for android devices)
  • On the web, with the following compatible browsers: Chrome, Edge (Anaheim), Safari, Firefox, Samsung Internet


Can I create a list of favourite channels and change the channels order?



Yes, you can create a favourite channels list directly in your Salt TV app on your Apple TV.

Proceed as follows:

  • In the “Settings” menu, select “Manage channel list”.
  • Choose your favourite channels in the order you want them to be displayed.
  • To change the order, click the “top/bottom” arrows displayed next to the star.

You can then find your favourite channels in the “Channels” menu in the new category “My favourite channels”.

How do I change the password for Salt TV or Salt Video?

The password for the and services is identical. You can change it directly in My Account.

  • Click on "Change the Salt TV credentials".
  • Enter your new password twice.
  • Click on "Validate".

Your password is changed for both services.

Which TV channels are included in the Salt TV packages?

The complete list of included channels in the different packages can be viewed on this page. You can filter by language (14 different languages), channel genre (music, kids, sports, documentaries, etc.), resolution and replay function.

Optional Sky (Sky Sport, Sky Show) and international (Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Bosnian, Turkish, Albanian and English Club TV) packages are also available. You can view the prices of all optional packages here.

Activate and deactivate

How can I activate a TV option?

There are various ways to activate the TV options.

  • Directly in the app on your Apple TV for instant activation:
    • The options that can be activated feature a padlock symbol.
    • To activate:
      • additional channel packages: go to the «Channels» menu;
        • This video will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
      • the 7-day replay option: go to «Our current offers» in the «Explore» menu.
  • Online form:
    • Here you can find the form you can use to activate the TV options. After placing your order, they will be activated in up to two working days.  
    • Quick tip: you can also access this form via your customer account.

How do I deactivate a TV option?

You can deactivate a TV option via the online form on

  • Quick tip: you can also access this form via your customer account.
    • -> Subscriptions -> TV ->  DEACTIVATE A PREMIUM OPTION

The cancellation will become effective at the end of the month. In the meantime, you can continue to use this option.

How can I subscribe to Sky via Salt TV? 
  • You can subscribe to the Sky options (Sport or Show) in the app and immediately start watching its channels.
  • You will receive your login information for the Sky app via email within 48 hours (working days).
  • The Sky app allows you to take full advantage of your option.
How can I access the Video on demand (VOD) service?

In the app on your Apple TV or your mobile devices, you can directly access the Salt Video category via the menu.

How can I update my

I have a problem with my, what should I do?

Should you encounter one of the following problems:

  • The app launches on a black window;
  • The image is frozen or skips regularly;
  • The image quality changes during viewing;
  • The menu appears blank (for ex.: TV Guide).

To fix the fault, please follow the steps below.

Verify and test your internet connection

  • Open the App Store app: a message will be displayed if you are not connected to the Internet.

Ensure that your Fiber Box is within 5m of your Apple TV

Close and restart the app

To ensure the proper operation of your application, we recommend always closing the apps before turning off your Salt TV.
